The Hereford Foundation of America is built on four pillars, scholarship, leadership, education and research. These four pillars are the motivation behind all fundraising efforts, creating and developing growth in the next generation of Hereford breeders and cultivating leaders who will be the instruments to the next steps in research for the industry.
Through donations such as the Coley-Malir Leadership Endowment and the GKB Cattle Youth Endowment, junior Hereford members across the country are able to grow as individuals and leaders in their community through the Faces of Leadership conference and the BOLD Leadership conference.
Beyond the $203,500 given out in scholarships in 2022, the Hereford Youth Foundation of America supports educational efforts like the NJHA Fed Steer Shootout program and the educational contests at the Junior National Hereford Expo..
