The Junior National Hereford Expo (JNHE) is powered by the Hereford Youth Foundation of America (HYFA) and the Growing a Lasting Legacy Campaign. Since the start of the campaign, the legacy fund has grown to close to $1.5 million, ensuring a sustainable future for the flagship event. Your sponsorship supports one of the Hereford breed’s greatest events of the year. Voted “Best in the Barns” and the most fun junior national, this summer spectacular provides an opportunity for competition of both junior members and their cattle projects, along with plenty of events for the entire family.

In the last decade, we have seen monumental growth topping the charts in 2018 with 1,840 Hereford entries and 925 Hereford youth. Even amidst a pandemic, the JNHE still experienced strong numbers with 1,385 entries showcased by 800 junior exhibitors from 40 states in 2021.

The 2023 VitaFerm Junior National Hereford Expo (JNHE) will be held July 8-14, in Madison, Wis. This “Mad Dash to the Hereford Bash,” embraces the fun, excitement and youthfulness of the JNHE while still maintaining the educational elements it prides itself on.
